Martins Pupols

Artist, designer and brand manager

Graduated with a Master degree in fashion design and brand management from Istituto Marangoni in Milan. The school has over 100-years of tradition in fashion creation and branding.
 

Creators and brand managers of Moschino and Dolce & Gabbana, the Artistic Director of Ermenegildo Zegna and the Creative Director of Valentino have this reputable school in common. This is where my know-how of  fashion and  business was molded and aquired the entrepreneurial freelance experience through collaborating with global  brands and creative designers laeders in the field.

As Fashion designer create Atelier collections and took a part in Riga Fashion Week. Was experience in staff selection for fashion designers in Italy: Gianfranco Ferre, D&G, Emporio Armani, Frankie Morello, Valentino. Was selected as guest designer for “ZARA”, Spain Coruña. Created “Ford.Tom Ford” sample collecton for fashion designer Tom Ford movie “Quantum of Solace” James Bond.

 

More than an artist I'm inspired and motivated in growing an international. While working close with Italian businesses I have learned to think with the mind of the customer, and give them what they desire. Till this day I am working with the team of a famous Italian hair care brand's creators that has created an international empire and is still growing and creating new projects. I never stop learning new things and always am thinking “out of the box”.

Artistic biography

Fashion designer and artist
 

My  great-grandmother was the  couturier  of  elegant  evening  wear in 30' s –  Anna  Alīda Sams.  Graduated  from St.Petersburgh University and later from the prestigious craftsman school of Kaucminde Manor in Latvia.  

 

She  was acclaimed among  the elite of the period and designed clothing for Latvian and Russian notable personalities like Emilija Benjamin - most successful and wealthy press business person in Latvia. She was  also chef and festive table decorator for the famoust writer's familly Vilis Lācis. Family craftsmanship tradition very  inspired me and I continue tailoring on to this day. Atelier is specialized in evening wear, bridal couture making wedding dresses and gowns using rich fabrics, lace and detailed embroidery.
